About Cambridge Bridge ClubAccording to its constitution, the purpose of Cambridge Bridge Club is:"... the amicable conduct of duplicate contract bridge competitions of a high standard in accordance with the Laws of the game..."The club is affiliated to the English Bridge Union (EBU). It meets and plays three main sessions of bridge per week. Visitors & New MembersWe welcome visitors and new members! If you would like to play at CBC, please contact the Secretary.Membership costs £15 per year (discounted to £5 for students), and the membership year runs from 1 June to 31 May. Note: No membership fee is being charged for 2020/2021 due to the Covid crisis. Hosted SessionsMost Tuesday and Wednesday evening sessions are hosted evenings. These provide the opportunity for players to arrive without a partner and still be able to play.Hosted evenings are indicated on the calendar. The Trumpington ClubFor beginners making the transition from learning bridge to playing duplicate in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, CBC recommends the Trumpington Club, which meets every Tuesday.More information is on the Trumpington Club information page. The club plays at two venues:
Trumpington, at the village hall: - every Mon morning from 10am to 1pm, and - every Tue evening from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. - every Thu morning from 10am to 1pm Bridge LessonsBridge classes are provided for beginners (Wed evenings) and improvers (Mon evenings).
