EBU Handicap Pairs 10th Sept 2023
We shall be hosting a heat of the National Handicap Pairs Championship 2023.This will be played by multiple clubs across the country. Details about the national event are on the EBU site. To enter the CBC-run session, see below!
Date: Sunday 10th September
Venue: Townley Memorial Hall, Fulbourn Centre CB21 5BS (map)
Time: Play will start at 2pm and end at around 6.30pm
Entry fee: £9 per person (includes tea/coffee and a delicious slice of homemade cake)
Who can enter?: Everyone (including other clubs) welcome. You will need a partner to play at this event.
How to enter: One person from each pair should fill out the entry form below before midnight on Sunday 3rd Sept.
It doesn't matter whether you are an experienced player, an improver or new to bridge, handicaps will level the playing field. You have exactly the same opportunity as other players. All you have to do is beat the average of your and your partner's combined NGS grade. To help the organisers, please make sure that your EBU membership settings allow your NGS grade to be visible.
Master Points: Blue Points will be awarded to the top 1/3 of the overall field at National rate and prizes will be awarded based on the overall handicapped ranking list. NGS grading for this event will be based on the underlying local results.
Payment:
- CBC Members: payment will be taken from your cashless account with the club.
- Visitors/non-members: in advance of the event, pay the entry fee of £18 per pair (or £9 in the case of a mixed pair ie non-member playing with a member). Pay by bank transfer to: Cambridge Bridge Club, Account number: 53958308 Sort code: 09-01-51 Reference: name of the player paying.
